COLOMBOVAC PMV — PIGEON VACCINE

Colombovac PMV Paramyxovirus Vaccine

Sizes Available: 100 dose (20ml) & 50 dose (10ml)

Uses:
Colombovac is for the active immunisation of pigeons to reduce mortality and clinical signs due to infection with paramyxovirus serotype 1 infection.
The onset of protection occurs one month after inoculation, the duration of protection is 12 months.

Colombovac Presentation:
Suspension for injection.
Inactivated Newcastle Disease Virus, strain La Sota. One dose induces a GMT-HI titre of at least 27.0 in chicks per 0.2 ml dose. Also contains 1 mg carbomer 934 P as adjuvant and 20 μg thiomersal as preservative.

Packaging Quantities:
1 x 50 doses (10 ml)
1 x 100 doses (20 ml)

Pharmaceutical precautions:
Store and transport refrigerated (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze. Protect from light.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Use entire contents of vial once opened.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label.

Any unused veterinary medicinal product or waste materials derived from such veterinary medicinal products should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.

These products, as well as being available from vets and pharmacists, can be supplied by a suitably qualified person (SQP) from a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and from premises approved by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD). Our SQP Mrs Diane Harris, number QE7160, is available for advice regarding worming schedules and procedures if required.

Within the current legislation it is our duty to determine the purchaser is a legitimate buyer and owner of an animal requiring treatment. Upon completion of purchasing these goods you will be asked some questions regarding the animal for compliance with the Veterinary Medicines Regulations, please be aware that we may contact you to confirm any details if necessary.

COLOMBOVAC PMV VACCINE — Dosage and administration:

One dose (0.2ml) per pigeon.
Administration: The vial has to be swirled several times before use.
The Colombovac vaccine has to be administered by subcutaneous injection dorsally in the neck region (in the direction of the back).

Primary vaccination:
1. Racing pigeons – All birds in the loft should be given one vaccination annually not less than 14 days before the beginning of the racing season. Young birds may be vaccinated with Colombovac PMV from 3 weeks of age when a single injection will provide immunity for 1 year. Following vaccination avoid contact with birds from other lofts for at least 14 days.
2. Show pigeons – All birds on the premises should be given one vaccination annually not less than 14 days before the beginning of the show season. Young birds may be vaccinated with Colombovac PMV from 3 weeks of age when a single injection will provide immunity for 1 year. Following vaccination, avoid contact with birds from other sources for at least 14 days.

Booster vaccination:
1. Racing pigeons — All adult birds in the loft should be given a single booster vaccination annually. Where the annual booster vaccination may interfere with the training or racing programme, it may be brought forward prior to the commencement of each racing season.
2. Show pigeons — All adult birds on the premises should be given a single booster vaccination annually.

Pharmaceutical precautions:

All members competing in the National Flying Club races must verify the time of clocking their first bird by ringing the official telephone number within 60 minutes, with the full ring number of the bird, wing mark, clocking time and NFC code number. The system to be a premium rate number phone system run by the Secretary of the NFC and such staff as he/she considers necessary, who will input the information onto computers.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS RULE WILL BE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE MEMBERS BIRDS FROM THE RACE.

Прицеп-голубевоз вот такой. Фото старое, сейчас сфоткать нет возможности так как прицеп заставлен в подземном гараже на зиму другой техникой.

В прошлом году начали по фактической погоде, было холодно. В этом будем пытаться по-раньше, к 24 мая. Между питомниками разлет 65 км. Призовыми считаем 20 % голубей.

Просторы России велики!У нас по клубам есть и более 80 и ещё больше,ни чего конкурируем.Если Igori 02(Игорь из Твери) станет летать в Балашихе,то у него будет к 200 км,а может и больше.При плотном прилёте птицы и попутном ветре в гонке,шансы нулевые даже в 30%.Но есть у людей желание и стремление,а это стоит большого уважения!

ничего страшного с + 180 до 500 км могут и в скоростных полетах попадать в 20% а дальше только стабильные 2-3 летки на завальных дестанциях

А как вы это себе представляете?Если по клубу будет вторая гонка в 320 км(это по Москве до центра),а у него уже минимум 520 км.Преимущество у Московских голубей.Я уже всё это проходил и прохожу каждый год.Хотя со второй гонкой по Москве в 320 км у меня она в 401 км и преимущественно преобладание северо-западного ветра,лобового северного и северо-восточного,редко когда подует южный,но если подует,то в Москве голуби прилетают как ракеты с этих дистанций.

Да, с ветром в 2020 году не повезло. Южный был всего два раза за весь сезон.
А Игорю нужно воспитывать хороших дальнобойщиков.

Именно дальнобойщики, это и есть наша цель. Будем сражаться. Первый сезон больше чем 500 для Москвы не полетим, а дальше будет видно. Выберем команду для Костромы и там попробуем, там разбег не такой уж и большой.

Мы все прекрасно понимаем, но это единственный шанс летать, а если не летать то надо переходить на декоративных, но это не по мне.
В Молдове тоже было страшно но ничего птица показала себя более чем достойно (1-е место по трем лучшим голубям голубедрома и в первой двацатке в наминации АС 4-ре наших питомца) дорогу осилит идущий.

Только что покормил голубей. Самки пока ничего, «правильно» к друг другу относятся. Самцы уже дуреют, гудят, за сто метров слышно. Бегают друг за другом, дерутся. Главное и отличное от других годов вот что: сильнее воркуют и бегают, а соответственно и меньше едят, самцы молодые, 2020 года рождения. Не двух-трех летки. В прошлых годах молодые самцы ярили сильно к концу марта — к началу апреля, немного попозже взрослых.

Я использую вот такие деревянные гнезда. В гнезда ложу сено с полынью. При выводе молодых используется два комплекта гнезд. Первое гнездо с сеном с момента снесения яйца и до семидневных птенцов. В семь дней птенцов окольцовываю и ложу под них чистое гнездо с новым сеном. Первое сено выбрасывается, гнездо в мойку и на недельку на солнце.

По весу гнезда достаточно хорошо весят, голуби никогда их не переворачивали. Мне кажется деревянные гнезда как-то теплее, уютнее. Между пластиком и этими гнездами голуби сами всегда выбирают почему-то деревянные. Может потому что они выше? Делали их у нас, в городе, на фирме по производству деревянных окон и дверей. Я случайно их увидел и приобрел. Делались же эти изделия (конечно на самом деле это не гнезда) на заказ в Турцию зачем-то.

Голубей в моем питомнике не много. Племенные находятся в отдельном питомнике, в противоположной стороне усадьбы (специально так расположил) от основного питомника, со своим, круглый год открытым, вольером. Там всего восемь пар, но пары очень и очень. Четыре пары на короткие и средние дистанции, четыре пары на длинные дистанции. В основном птенцов беру только от племенных. В большом питомнике три отделения: 21 метр для молодых, 11 метров для самкок и 17 метров для спортсменов-вдовцов. От вдовцов (только взрослых голубей, не прошлого года) беру только один выводок, первый, апрельский. Всего сейчас у меня там 72 голубя (это с прошлогодними 2020 года рождения). Пока не паровал, поэтому самцы находятся отдельно от самок. Получается всего 88 голубей. Мне хватит. Молодых в среднем по году выращиваю до 70 птенцов. Отбираю и оставляю в зиму не более 30 молодых. В годовалом возрасте от них останется всего не более 20-ти. Вот они то и работают хорошо.

Спасибо Вам за такую оценку, вдвойне приятней что оценка такая от профессионала.
В основном справляюсь со всем сам. Сына привлекаю, но он не очень горит голубями, любит козырную работу: гнезда поставить, окольцевать, подержать, покормить, покапать капельки. Чистить не любит. Жена тоже немного помогает, ее дело вакцинация. При вакцинации она всегда делает уколы, а я держу голубя. В сенябре (извиняюсь за такие интимные подробности) мне заменили тазобедренный сустав. Два месяца нельзя было поднимать ничего тяжелого. Вот жена мне и воду носила в питомник, и корм подавала. В это время питомники не чистил.

По поводу метода. Если чесно, никак не могу до конца понять какой-же метод лучше. Не совсем у меня получается вдовий метод, наверное не хватает каких-то знаний. В июле самцы перегорают и сбрасывают форму. Два года летал вдовьим методом, все результаты зафиксированы. Хочу попробовать в этом году полететь от гнезда и посмотреть на результаты гнездового метода.
Инфа к размышлению: по приглашению в январе этого года был у одного из немецких чемпионов. Общались в том числе и на тему различных методов работы с голубями. Его метод меня просто убил: голуби, питомник, вентиляция, вакцинация, корм и т.д. на супер высоте, а работы никакой не ведется. Голуби никогда не разделяются на самцов и самок, молодые не отделяются, никто не тренируется над питомником (я имею ввиду голубей), голуби никогда не закрываются и летают всей гурьбой сами как хотят над питомником. Даже паруются сами когда хотят и с кем хотят. Он сказал, что самое главное это мотивация и любовь голубя к питомнику, ничего не делает против воли голубя. У его голубей мотивация к возвращению домой гораздо выше чем у остальной стаи. Поэтому и выигрывает. Пока думаю над этим всем. Сомневаюсь.
